Six Dilworth Attorneys Named to Chambers USA 2022 Guide

Dilworth Paxson LLP is pleased to announce that six attorneys in the areas of Bankruptcy/Restructuring, Construction and Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use have once again been ranked in Chambers USA 2022 Guide. Anne Marie Aaronson, James Landgraf, James M. Matour, Lawrence McMichael, Neil Sklaroff and Martin J. Weis were all honored for their legal work in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Conducted by 200 research analysts spanning 200 jurisdictions, Chambers and Partners ranks law firms based on interviews with clients and peers as well as firm submissions. Criteria include technical legal ability, client service, commercial vision and business understanding, diligence, value for money and depth of team to rank law firms. Regarding Dilworth and its outstanding attorneys, the results of Chambers’ methodology for 2022 are as follows.

Our comprehensive bankruptcy and restructuring team is recognized for its work advising distressed companies from various sectors including publishing, real estate and technology, as well as creditors’ rights and corporate restructurings. Additionally, particular praise was given to our attorneys’ strength in representing debtors and lenders in complex Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases. 

Notable Bankruptcy/Restructuring attorneys were also highlighted. Anne Marie Aaronson received acclaim for her strength regarding high-profile matters and “experience in counseling debtors on bankruptcy matters including workouts and out-of-court restructurings.” Coined a “very strong, measured lawyer, who gets good results,” James Matour was commended for his “broad practice which encompasses workouts, restructurings and bankruptcy proceedings.” Dilworth Chairman Lawrence McMichael was honored as a Star Individual for his “prominent bankruptcy practice that frequently sees him handle high-value proceedings.” According to commenters, McMichael is known as, “one of the best lawyers there is.” Martin Weis also made the list of distinguished Bankruptcy/Restructuring attorneys for his work representing creditors in sophisticated bankruptcy and restructuring matters. In particular, Weis was called a “very effective attorney.”

Two Dilworth attorneys specializing in Construction and Real Estate also made the list. In Construction, James Landgraf was recognized for is recognized for his handling of construction contracts and litigation on behalf of owners and contractors. Neil Sklaroff, also made the list for Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use, for his work advising developers, businesses and individuals on a range of zoning and land use matters, as well as development, tax appeals and administrative law matters. In particular, a commenter noted that Sklaroff is, “highly respected, bright and well-versed in land use.”
