Trust & Estates Paralegal
Dilworth Paxson seeks to immediately hire an experienced, full-time Paralegal for our expanding Trusts & Estates practice in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience in both PA and NJ estate administration. In addition, the candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, must understand the necessity of maintaining clients’ confidential documents and communications, will be able to work independently to meet deadlines, and has the ability to effectively multi-task.
Responsibilities and Duties
- PA & NJ estate administration from start to finish, including probate, collection of assets and debts, preparing and filing federal and state death tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns, preparing fiduciary accountings and settlement agreements. Lackner experience is helpful.
- Keep track of estate deadlines and ensure efficient administration of estates
- Client liaison working directly with family or executor
- Prepare correspondence to clients and other professionals as needed
- Prepare estate and trust accountings
- Orphans’ Court filing in the various counties, when needed
- Notarization of documents (notary license is preferred)
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be extremely organized, reliable and dependable, possess excellent writing skills, be detail-oriented and possess the ability to juggle multiple tasks and work well under pressure with a positive attitude. Applicant must also be able to review own work for errors, must be able to complete tasks without micro-management, and have a professional demeanor and attitude. Candidates must have PA estate administration experience (NJ a plus).

Full-Time Associate Attorney
Dilworth Paxson LLP is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join our highly skilled and collaborative Plaintiff’s Rights Litigation practice in the Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will have superior writing ability, research proficiency, experience working with ESI and platforms such as Relativity, preparing and taking depositions, and other related work experience in complex litigation. Class action experience is a plus.
Candidate must be a member of the Pennsylvania bar in good standing.
