Description:

Dilworth Paxson is looking to hire an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for our Litigation Department in our Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of litigation procedures, excellent administrative skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced law firm environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to litigation attorneys, including calendar management, scheduling, and coordination of meetings and calls
  • Prepare, revise, and format legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, and discovery materials
  • File documents with federal and state courts, including electronic filings through systems such as PACER and state e-filing portals
  • Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and court dates, ensuring compliance with court rules and litigation schedules
  • Coordinate deposition logistics, court reporters, videographers, and conference rooms
  • Organize and maintain case files (both electronic and physical)
  • Track and enter attorney time and assist with billing-related administrative tasks as needed
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors
  • Assist attorneys with travel arrangements and expense reports when required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of litigation administrative support experience in a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements
  • Experience with e-filing in federal and state courts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with legal document management and time entry systems preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality
