Former Federal Prosecutor Joins White Collar Team at Dilworth Paxson LLP

Dilworth Paxson LLP has announced a significant addition to its White Collar/Corporate Investigations practice group with former Assistant U.S. Attorney Anthony Kyriakakis joining the Firm as Of Counsel.

Kyriakakis spent eight years as a federal prosecutor, serving as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in both the Eastern District of New York and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He has handled grand jury investigations and prosecutions in a wide range of criminal matters, including complex economic crimes, healthcare fraud, obstruction of justice, intellectual property, and environmental offenses. His experience gives him valuable insights into how prosecutors make charging decisions, enabling him to help clients avoid investigations and, when necessary, successfully defend against potential charges.

“The continued expansion of our White Collar/Corporate Investigations practice group comes at a time of heightened government scrutiny of potential misconduct by individuals in the corporate setting,” said Dilworth Executive Chairman and CEO Ajay Raju. “Anthony’s experience in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, where he worked closely with government agencies and Department of Justice attorneys, makes him a forceful advocate for clients who face government inquiries. We’re very pleased to have him at Dilworth.”

“I had the privilege of supervising Anthony while at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and I know that he is both a highly skilled investigator and trial attorney who will add significant depth to our practice group,” said Linda Dale Hoffa, the former chief of the criminal division at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia. Hoffa joined Dilworth earlier this year as Co-Chair of the White Collar/Corporate Investigations practice group.

Kyriakakis said he was drawn to Dilworth by the exceptional quality of its lawyers, the firm’s distinguished history, and Dilworth’s longstanding commitment to public service in Philadelphia and the broader region. “I am delighted to join Dilworth and its growing White Collar/Corporate Investigations team,” said Kyriakakis.

Kyriakakis currently serves as a fellow at the Center for Health Law, Policy, and Practice at Temple Law School and teaches courses on sentencing at both Temple Law and Penn Law. He is also a board member for the Center for Families and Relationships, a non-profit organization that works to strengthen low-income families in Philadelphia by providing counseling and other services. Prior to serving as a federal prosecutor, Kyriakakis was in private practice at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York. He is a former law clerk for Third Circuit Judge Julio M. Fuentes. He obtained his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School and his B.A. in history magna cum laude from Yale University.
