Dilworth Paxson’s Nina Spizer elected as new officer to the Federal Criminal Law Committee

PHILADELPHIA (February 12, 2026) — Dilworth Paxson is pleased to announce that Nina Spizer, partner and co-chair of the firm’s Criminal Law and Investigations practice, has been elected chair of the Federal Criminal Law Committee for 2026.

Spizer joins newly elected officers who will lead the Committee into its next chapter of advocacy, education, and service to the federal criminal justice community. She will serve as chair, alongside Maggie Grasso, vice chair; Calli Padilla, secretary; and Jason Bologna, treasurer.

Founded nearly 35 years ago, the Federal Criminal Law Committee is widely recognized as the preeminent association for criminal practitioners in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The Committee is dedicated to advancing excellence in federal criminal practice through advocacy, education, professional development, and networking, while promoting fairness and justice for all defendants.

The committee hosts continuing legal education programs and events featuring leaders from across the federal criminal justice system, including members of the defense bar, federal prosecutors, U.S. probation officers, Bureau of Prisons officials, and federal judges at all levels. 

The new leadership team will continue the committee’s longstanding commitment to high-quality programming, thoughtful policy engagement, and fostering a supportive, collaborative community for federal criminal practitioners.
