Claire Ghormoz focuses her practice on labor and employment counseling, guiding clients across a wide range of industries on strategic workforce management and regulatory compliance.

She advises employers on all aspects of employment law, helping businesses navigate complex federal, state, and local requirements, including Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and state and local anti-discrimination laws. Claire works closely with HR professionals and management to develop compliant policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements, and she provides guidance on workforce reductions, severance arrangements, and restrictive covenants. Claire also regularly advises and represents public-sector clients on complex labor issues arising under collective bargaining agreements, including employee discipline and discharge, grievance procedures, and workplace policies.

This experience provides her with a practical perspective that informs her proactive guidance, helping clients anticipate challenges and implement solutions that minimize risk.

Claire also conducts impartial workplace investigations into allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or other misconduct, ensuring employers respond appropriately and maintain a fair, compliant workplace. She frequently partners with clients to develop and deliver training programs for managers and staff on fostering a respectful workplace, minimizing legal risk, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
