Ava Marie Donatucci is an associate in Dilworth Paxson’s Corporate Department, where she supports clients and senior attorneys on mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions and financing, land use and zoning matters, and corporate governance. She takes a practical approach to the work, looking beyond the individual legal question to understand what the client is trying to accomplish and how the different pieces of a transaction fit together. Her research, writing and analytical skills help the team identify issues, work through details and advance transactions with the client’s larger business objectives in mind.

Ava recognizes that transactions can involve numerous moving pieces, competing priorities and issues that may affect one another. She focuses on understanding those connections, staying close to the details and giving senior attorneys the research and analysis they need to evaluate issues and make informed recommendations to the client. Her early exposure to real estate transactions and lenders, together with her work involving environmental law and tax matters, gives her additional context when a transaction crosses legal disciplines. For clients, that means another member of the team is actively thinking about how an issue fits into the larger transaction rather than viewing her assignment in isolation.

Ava first joined Dilworth as a summer associate before returning to begin her legal career with the firm. She is collaborative and service-oriented, qualities that shape how she approaches both client work and her relationships with the attorneys around her. That commitment to others is also reflected in her longtime involvement with Michael’s Giving H.A.N.D., the nonprofit her family founded in memory of her brother to promote mental health awareness among adolescents. Having helped build the organization and now serving on its board, Ava understands the importance of listening carefully, following through and taking responsibility for work that affects other people, qualities she brings to the teams and clients she serves.
