Arnav M. Patel is an associate in Dilworth Paxson’s Bankruptcy and Litigation practices, where he supports client teams handling distressed businesses, financial disputes and other complex commercial matters. His background in finance and business enables him to understand the economic considerations underlying these matters and assess legal issues within the context of a client’s broader business objectives. By examining both the legal and financial dimensions of a matter, Arnav provides analysis that helps senior attorneys identify material issues, evaluate available options and develop strategies informed by the client’s commercial realities.
Arnav first joined Dilworth as a summer associate before returning to the firm to begin his legal career. He brings a disciplined approach to his work, developing a thorough understanding of the facts and remaining attentive to developments that may affect the direction of a matter. As matters evolve, Arnav works closely with senior attorneys to research emerging issues, assess their significance and provide the analysis needed to inform the team’s next steps. His responsiveness and attention to detail make him a valuable contributor to matters that require sustained analysis and coordination.
Arnav is particularly drawn to complex problems where legal questions are closely intertwined with financial and business considerations. Rather than examining an issue in isolation, he seeks to understand how the relevant facts, legal principles and economic implications intersect and which considerations are most consequential to the client. His multidisciplinary education, including an Honors B.S. in Finance from the University of Delaware and a J.D. and M.B.A. from Villanova University, provides a strong foundation for that approach. Arnav brings that perspective to his developing practice, contributing analysis that accounts for both the legal framework and the potential business implications of the options under consideration.
