Dilworth Paxson LLP announced today the addition of Robert Ernst to the firm, as an attorney in the public finance and corporate & business practice groups.

“At a time when our public finance group is extremely busy, we were very lucky to find Rob,” said Dilworth Chairman Larry McMichael. “He is exceptionally well qualified and experienced as a public finance lawyer, and a very welcomed addition to our group.”

Rob has over a decade of experience serving as bond counsel, underwriters’ counsel and borrower’s counsel in connection with revenue bond financings for a wide range of healthcare, educational and cultural institutions, as well as numerous U.S. public finance investment banking firms.

His extensive experience includes negotiating and drafting various bond-related documents, including authorizing resolutions, public notices, bond indentures, loan agreements, offering documents, bond purchase agreements, master trust indentures, continuing disclosure agreements, and other deal specific instruments.

From early stages to post-issuance compliance, Rob is involved in all aspects of public offerings and private placement transactions.

Rob spent twelve years with Hawkins Delafield & Wood LLP, specializing in the firm’s 501c3 national healthcare and higher education practice group. He earned his J.D. from Pace University School of Law, his M.B.A. from Pace University Lubin School of Business and his B.S. from Binghamton University.
