Philadelphia, PA (April 23, 2014)– Dilworth Paxson LLP is pleased to announce that the Pennsylvania Senate has confirmed Governor Tom Corbett’s nomination of the Firm’s Elizabeth Preate Havey to the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority (PEDFA) Board.

Preate Havey joins PEDFA’s Board of Directors, which includes other attorneys, CEOs and Principals of various companies. She also handles general corporate and securities transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, venture capital investments and private equity fund investment transactions.

“PEDFA and Dilworth both strive to empower communities in order to strengthen the economy of our state and region, which is why I think my position on the Board is a great fit for the Firm and the Commonwealth,” said Preate Havey. “I am honored that PEDFA has chosen me to play such an important role in advancing its mission of economic development.”

Before her time at Dilworth, Preate Havey was a member of the Executive Committee of Lower Merion and Narberth Republican Committee; a member of the Board of Governors of Justinian Society; on the Transition Team for the Pennsylvania Attorney General-Elect Tom Corbett; Co-Chair of Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Women in the Professional Committee’s Annual Luncheon and Awards ceremony; on the Deans Advisory Board of the MCP Hahnemann University, College of Nursing and Health Professionals; Chairwoman of the Wheels Medical Transportation Annual Awards Dinner; and a member of Republican Women of the Mainline.
