Jennifer Platzkere Snyder and Eric B. Meyer Present at In-House Counsel Labor & Employment Law Forum

Jennifer Platzkere Snyder and Eric B. Meyer, both partners in the Labor and Employment Group at Dilworth Paxson LLP, spoke at the In-House Counsel Labor & Employment Law Forum for Corporate Counsel magazine at the Harvard Club in New York City.

Snyder and Meyer presented on the topic “Reducing the Risk of Wage and Hour Litigation,” identifying key legal developments in wage and hour law and offering practical strategies for corporate counsel to follow so they can avoid the ever-present legal pitfalls in this complex legal area.

Snyder represents public and private sector employers in addressing all aspects of labor and employment law, including employment discrimination, traditional union-management relations, restrictive covenant and trade secret disputes, and personnel policy development and enforcement. She provides practical guidance to employers on avoiding litigation risks while also aggressively litigating disputes before federal and state courts, administrative agencies and arbitrators. In addition to her active involvement with the American Bar Association, she is the Treasurer of the Temple American Inn of Court and sits on the Alumnae Board of The Baldwin School.

Meyer focuses his practice on employment discrimination and retaliation; workplace harassment; employee pay practices; leaves of absence, disabilities and reasonable accommodations; non-competition and trade secret disputes; employment contracts, reductions in force, severance arrangements and other contractual matters; and union-management relations and collective bargaining. Meyer is also very active in social media, making him a resource for employers on cutting-edge legal issues. He also publishes The Employer Handbook, recently recognized by the ABA Journal as one of the top labor-and-employment-law blogs in America.
