Dilworth Paxson Guides Minority-Owned Cannabis Retailer from Licensing to Grand Opening in New Jersey

PHILADELPHIA, PA, June 3, 2026 — Dilworth Paxson LLP guided Uncle Beez Greeneryz, a 100% minority-owned adult-use cannabis dispensary, through New Jersey’s cannabis licensing process and to its grand opening held on May 30 in Penns Grove, New Jersey.

The dispensary, founded by Dr. Bryant Greene, was originally one of the first Class 5 retail licenses awarded by New Jersey to a fully minority-owned business. A Dilworth Paxson team led by partners Kiliaen Strong and Christina Strong advised the client at every stage, including drafting and securing the state cannabis license, managing inspections and regulatory compliance. The team also handled lease negotiations for an initial location, successfully secured a new dispensary site, and represented the client in vendor and contractor negotiations for the ground-up construction and design of the facility. The team also guided the dispensary through the development of compliant operations, including security and operations planning, and secured all local approvals by appearing before the Borough Council, Planning Board, and zoning authorities.
