Client Seminar on September 27: “Your Aging Workforce: Helping Your Company Succeed Beyond Mere HR-Compliance”

As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Age Discrimination Employment Act (ADEA), the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is determined to make the ADEA “more relevant than ever.” And if the EEOC is talking about a particular compliance area, employers should be listening. Dilworth Paxson Partner Eric Meyer, joined by a member of the EEOC, will address the state of the law so that attendees will better understand the EEOC’s enforcement priorities on age-related matters.

Additionally, in this session you will:

  • Obtain best practices for limiting liability at work;
  • Learn how to incorporate age into an employer’s diversity and inclusion strategies; and
  • Improve recruitment, training, and retention efforts focused on older workers.

Kistler Tiffany Benefits’ Director of Compliance Services Scott Wham, J.D., will also discuss the current state of health care reform at the top of the program.

This has been approved for 1.5 HRCI and SHRM credits, and 2 Substantive CLE credits.

Space is limited. This is not a webinar. To reserve your spot, choose your date/location below and click to complete your registration.

About the Speakers

You know that scientist in the action movie who has all the right answers if only the government would just pay attention?

Well, if your proactive company wants a nerdy employment-lawyer brain to become HR-compliant before the action sequence, look no further than Eric B. Meyer. Based in Philadelphia, PA, but serving clients across the country, Eric is a member of the Labor & Employment Practice Group and Chair of the #SocialMedia Practice Group at Dilworth Paxson LLP. Eric also publishes The Employer Handbook (www.TheEmployerHandbook.com), which the ABA Journal recognizes as a top labor and employment law blog. In addition to being a frequent lecturer around the country, among other outlets, Meyer has been quoted in ABCNews.com, NBCSports.com, Entrepreneur, The Wall Street Journal, and the British tabloids. Eric also serves as a volunteer mediator for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Although he has yet to save the entire world, Eric is content with helping his clients stay safe and successful.
