Overview

Christopher’s primary areas of practice are Public Finance and Corporate Law. He has represented municipalities and counties in connection with their issuance of general obligation bonds backed by the taxing power of such entities as well as various agencies or authorities in connection with their issuance of revenue bonds and private activity bonds to finance a myriad of projects. He has also represented investment banking firms and financial institutions with respect to public finance transactions, including serving as letter of credit counsel in a number of pooled or variable rate transactions. Chris has also acted as Corporate Counsel to both closely held and publicly traded corporations handling general, financing and securities matters. Chris has developed an expertise representing developers (both for profit and non-profit), equity investors and financing agencies relating to all aspects of the acquisition, development and/or financing of affordable housing projects and has represented both municipalities and private entities relating to redevelopment projects.

Chris is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, and has served as a councilman in Fair Haven, New Jersey for over ten years. Mr. Walrath is a member to both the New Jersey Bar and the New York Bar. He has also been a speaker or a panel member at various seminars including the Bond Buyer conference.

Chris attended Seton Hall University on a baseball scholarship where he received his undergraduate degree in business administration and he received his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law.
