White Collar/Government Investigations

The White Collar and Government Investigations Practice Group represents individuals, corporations, and other entities in government and regulatory investigations, trials, appeals, and internal investigations. Today, the mere filing of criminal charges can ruin a client’s reputation and business, and so the best results come from persuading government lawyers to refrain from proceeding with an indictment. To conduct such negotiations effectively, experience matters. The attorneys in our practice group have decades of experience as federal and state prosecutors, as senior staff on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, and in other significant leadership positions in federal and state government. The Chair of our group previously served as the Chief of the Criminal Division for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia. We understand the dynamics of a prosecutor’s charging decision.

In those instances where litigation and trials are necessary and unavoidable, our attorneys have the skills and trial experience needed to represent clients zealously and effectively in any type of white collar case. We seek to provide sophisticated and cost-effective representation while working to manage the issues in ways that limit the impact to our client’s business. In addition, Dilworth works actively with corporate clients to develop, implement and maintain compliance programs that work to prevent and detect potential violations before they occur. We also conduct internal investigations pertaining to criminal matters or other misconduct within a company.

Our attorneys use their experience, skills, and judgment to represent clients in these areas:
