Eric B. Meyer, a partner in the Labor and Employment Group at Dilworth Paxson LLP, presented “Social Media in the Workplace - Where is it Today, Where is it Going Tomorrow?” at the TLNT Transform conference for HR Professionals.
The panel, lead by Meyer, examined the legal impact of social media in the workplace. Joined by other HR professionals who also deal with social media on the job, the panel presented the latest legal issues pertaining to social media in the workplace and the most current HR strategies and procedures for dealing with this ever-changing and highly-charged issue.
Meyer focuses his practice on employment discrimination and retaliation; workplace harassment; employee pay practices; leaves of absence, disabilities and reasonable accommodations; non-competition and trade secret disputes; employment contracts, reductions in force, severance arrangements and other contractual matters; and union-management relations and collective bargaining. Meyer is also very active in social media, making him a resource for employers on cutting-edge legal issues. He also publishes The Employer Handbook, recently recognized by the ABA Journal as one of the top labor-and-employment-law blogs in America.
