The Honorable Patrick J. Murphy focuses his practice on Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Cyber/Data Security, and Litigation. A serial entrepreneur, current Distinguished Chair of Innovation at West Point, and general partner at the Stony Lonesome Group, Secretary Murphy knows what it take to guide entrepreneurs through the legal and financial sides of starting and scaling a new business. Additionally, as a Commissioner on the US Cyberspace Solarium Commission, he advises C-Suite leaders on data security and privacy, as state, federal and international regulations and laws continue to evolve.

As a former federal and military prosecutor, and litigation partner for two AmLaw 100 firms, Patrick provides counsel on best practices and strategy for the most contentious situations. Patrick is America’s first Iraq Veteran elected to congress after serving with distinction with the 82nd Airborne Division, and was Presidentially appointed, and Senate confirmed, as the 32nd Under Secretary of the US Army, where he led 1.3 million personnel and a $148 billion budget.

Search Tips

Our Web site's search function employs a variety of techniques to help you make the most of your queries. In this tips section we use square brackets [ ] to signal queries, so [antitrust and litigation] is one query, while [antitrust] and [litigation] are two.

  • Exact phrases: Eliminate unnecessary search results by surrounding your search phrase with quotation marks. Placing ["project finance"] in quotes will return specific results and discard additional results that simply have the words "project" and "finance" peppered on a page.
  • Wildcard symbol: If you're not exactly sure how a piece of information you want is phrased, use the following symbol (*) as a word root expander. A search for [child*] will find not only "child," but also results with words like "children" and "childhood."
