Overview

Ira N. Glauber is a commercial trial attorney with almost 40 years of litigation experience trying civil cases involving business disputes. He has litigated a wide variety of commercial disputes ranging from matters involving breach of contract, fraud, real estate, partnership and joint venture agreements, unpaid loans, securities, defamation, and employee matters in both state and federal court in New York, New Jersey, and around the country. Ira has also represented the nation’s largest securities firms in actions to enforce judgments and in numerous arbitrations under the auspices of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the NASD (FINRA’s predecessor), and the New York Stock Exchange.

  • Represents one of the largest securities brokerage firms in obtaining repayment of loans.
  • Litigation counsel for more than 20 years for one of the largest owners of real estate in the City of New York with respect to disputes involving co-op and condominium boards, contracts, commercial leases, residential tenants, contractors, and employees.
  • Litigation counsel for more than 20 years for the fifth largest privately owned company in the City of New York.
  • Litigation counsel for a major religious organization in a lawsuit that lasted several years in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York. 
  • Trial counsel in two separate jury trials in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York, involving the break-up of hedge funds, both of which resulted in jury awards of more than one million dollars for his clients.
  • Trial counsel in a jury trial in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York, for a hedge fund that resulted in a multi-million dollar award.
  • Represented a major brokerage firm for many years in a variety of arbitrations and court proceedings involving securities accounts.
  • Litigation counsel for more than 20 years for the U.S. subsidiary of a Korean multinational company in numerous federal and state court actions involving non-payment of loan agreements and employee disputes.
  • Represented a New York condominium board in an action against the sponsor of the condominium for construction defects and breach of the offering plan for the condominium.
  • Represented the long-time president of a major non-profit organization who was sued by the New York State Attorney General in a dispute over the proper accounting of funds of the organization.
