Overview

Anne Aaronson’s practice focuses on business litigation, including bankruptcy and reorganization, out-of-court workouts, contract and corporate governance disputes, and providing true sale and non-consolidation opinions to clients involved in certain financial transactions.  Anne also represents tax lien holders in connection with the enforcement of municipal tax liens, including through the sheriff’s sale of the affected properties.

Representative Experience

  • Regularly represents an international manufacturer of electromechanical devices in various airline, photographic, and other Chapter 11 cases.
  • Regularly represents a Credit Union in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases.
  • Regularly represents an investor in the acquisition and enforcement of municipal tax liens.
  • Represented former directors of a large telecommunications business defending several complex lawsuits involving federal and state wage and hours laws, and other claims.
  • Represented several large non-profit organizations reorganizing in Chapter 11, including a nationally renowned Orchestra, a Historically Black College (HBCU), a Children’s Behavioral Treatment Center and School, and a Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Center.
  • Represented one of the nation’s largest newspapers in its Chapter 11 reorganization.
  • Represented a for-profit behavioral health facility in its Chapter 11 reorganization.
