The Banking and Financial Services Group also provides sophisticated representation to national and regional financial institutions for all issues involving consumer loans. We represent lenders in litigation involving state and federal law claims instituted by borrowers in regard to consumer loan transactions, including claims relating to subprime mortgages, predatory lending claims, disputes alleging violations of the Federal Truth-in-Lending Act (TILA), common law and consumer fraud claims, consumer class actions and state and federal claims alleging unfair and deceptive acts and trade practices. Moreover, the Banking and Financial Services Group attorneys provide advice and assistance to the Firm's financial institution clients with respect to varied federal and state bank regulatory matters, including branch applications, formation of subsidiaries and examination issues.
