Joe Metz is a criminal defense lawyer with a long history of sophisticated and successful representations. His recent representations have included Bonusgate clients and state officials. During the past twenty years, he has represented a client in virtually every major white collar case in the Harrisburg area.
Joe has represented hundreds of white-collar clients in state and federal investigations and negotiated many successful plea bargains. He has tried over sixty cases to verdict. In the course of his practice, Joe has represented state officials, attorneys, physicians, nuclear power plant executives and prosecutors as well as many executives enmeshed in white-collar investigations.
Joe clerked for judge Richard B. Wickersham of the Pennsylvania Superior Court and has also served as a public defender and deputy general in the course of his career. He is active in the bar association and many court organizations and has twice chaired the Magistrate Selection Committee for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
