Jordan Rand has experience litigating insurance coverage, employment, civil rights, ERISA and complex commercial cases. Jordan has also represented businesses and individuals in regulatory disputes with federal and local government agencies.

In addition to handling business and regulatory litigation matters, Jordan is also committed to pro bono work. He has litigated prisoners’ civil rights cases in federal court and has successfully appealed denials of social security disability benefits on his clients’ behalf.

  • Earned per curiam affirmance of favorable trial verdict from Pennsylvania Supreme Court on behalf on insurer in multi-million dollar coverage litigation regarding inapplicability of notice-prejudice rule in claims-made policies in Pennsylvania
  • Won summary judgment for New Jersey State Trooper defending civil rights and malicious prosecution claims in the District of New Jersey
  • Awarded summary judgment on behalf of insured voiding portion of workers compensation insurance policy on public policy grounds
  • Reached favorable settlement on behalf of civil rights plaintiff alleging prison officials’ deliberate indifference to medical needs after defeating defense motion for summary judgment in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania
  • Obtained reversal of City of Camden’s award of public contract and obtained judicial order directing contract to be awarded to client as the lowest responsible bidder
