Alex Nassar represents a wide range of business and government entities in commercial litigation matters.

As part of his commercial litigation practice, Alex regularly counsels insurers in claims litigation. He also provides counsel to these clients on a variety of insurance coverage matters, including drafting coverage opinions and counseling carriers that provide defenses under reservations of rights.

Additionally, Alex maintains a growing practice in premises liability, personal injury, and medical malpractice actions, and has significant experience in employment litigation and arbitration. In his employment law practice, Alex has handled numerous disputes involving restrictive covenants, trade secrets, statutory discrimination claims, and wage and hour claims. Alex also represents a major broker-dealer in connection with investment suitability claims brought by customers.

Alex practices regularly in federal and state courts across the country, before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, and at arbitration before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Alex is actively involved in his community, and sits on the board of directors for United Communities of Southeast Philadelphia, a leading voice for Philadelphia’s most underserved individuals that provides numerous services including foreclosure avoidance counseling, afterschool outreach, truancy prevention programs, and family case management services. Alex also handles pro bono matters for the Homeless Advocacy Project’s Veterans Project, and is counsel for the Saint Joseph’s University Veterans Entrepreneurship Program.

Representative Experience

  • Represented Fortune 100 financial services company in claims for injunctive relief, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, tortious interference with business and contractual relations, and breach of contract.
  • Advised local management of Fortune 100 financial services company on an array of post-employment issues and best practices.
  • Obtained default FINRA Award against financial advisor for training costs owed to former employer.
  • Drafted cease and desist letters to former employees for breach of non-compete agreements and post-employment obligations.
