Dilworth Partner Directs Panel Discussion at Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Health Law Seminar

Philadelphia, PA - Dilworth's Corporate Investigations & White Collar Group Chairman, David M. Laigaie, recently participated in the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Health Law Seminar, leading a panel discussion entitled "The False Claims Act Year in Review".

Mr. Laigie was joined by Margaret Hutchinson, the Senior Affirmative Litigation Counsel for the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well as Eric W. Sitarchuk, or Morgan Lewis & Bokius. The panel discussed recent cases interpreting various aspects of the Federal False Claims Act as well as broad trends in health care fraud enforcement. This panel annually presents at the Health Law Seminar, and is attended by hundreds of health lawyers from throughout the Commonwealth. The panel also attempts to predict new and emerging enforcement areas and changes to the law.

In his fifteen years of practice, Mr. Laigaie has obtained substantial experience in white collar and criminal defense, internal corporate investigations, health care litigation, and complex civil litigation. He is a frequent speaker and author of a variety of health care fraud issues.
