Dilworth Partner Speaks on Art of PhilanthropyPhiladelphia, PA - Dilworth Paxson's Philanthropic & Nonprofit Group Chairman, Richard L. Fox, recently presented at "Art of Philanthropy", sponsored by the Central Indiana Community Foundation and the Central Indiana Society of Financial Service Professionals, which was attended by over 100 financial advisors, accountants, lawyers and development officers. Mr. Fox addressed a multitude of issues regarding philanthropy, including recent current events involving the Gross Clinic, the Robertson Foundation, and the Milton Hershey School. He also addressed various charitable planned giving techniques that are available to further an individual's philanthropy, including those related to estate planning for family members, such as charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts. He also discussed the new rules relating to "supporting organizations" and "donor advised funds." Mr. Fox is a member of the Firm's Corporate Department and Tax, Trust and Estates, and Healthcare Groups. His practice involves a broad range of tax areas, including nonprofit organizations, corporations, partnerships, and individuals, as well as trusts and estates. He has years of experience in state law issues involving nonprofit organizations and structuring family tax planning. Mr. Fox represents a multitude of charitable organizations, including some of the largest private foundations in the nation. |
