Mr. McMichael is Chairman of Dilworth Paxsons Litigation Department where he concentrates his practice in commercial litigation and insolvency matters. He also has 29 years of experience in securities litigation and other complex cases involving criminal issues. He has over 29 years of trial experience in both federal and state courts, and has tried, as lead counsel, major jury and non-jury cases. Mr. McMichael has represented numerous, high-profile clients in commercial matters. He is presently the lead litigation counsel for members of the Rigas family in more than 50 pending cases arising out of Adelphia Communications Corporation, and presently represents them in criminal proceedings as well. He is also counsel to Sanjay Kumar, former chairman and CEO of Computer Associates, in civil and criminal matters. Mr. McMichael received both his J.D. degree and B.A. degree, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Duke University. |
