Dilworth Attorney Speaks Before Local High School Students At PBA Minority Law Day
Dilworth litigator, Edward W. Chang, recently participated in the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s 2007 Annual Minority Law Day. The theme for this year’s Law Day was “Combating School Violence: Arm Yourself with the Law.”
Mr. Chang was a part of planning committee for the event and led the students through a mock trial advocacy problem on Constitutional Law Search and Seizure Issues. Mr. Chang also spoke on a panel presentation discussing his entry into the legal profession and subsequent experience in the work place. Other esteemed panelists included The Honorable Paula Patrick and The Honorable Nitza I. Quinones, of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
In his practice, Mr. Chang, a Wayne, Pennsylvania resident, litigates matters in state and federal court, including assisting clients in a variety of commercial suits involving contractual disputes, defamation, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Federal Arbitration Act, and shareholder valuation disputes. Mr. Chang has also served as counsel for major property and casualty insurers on a number of issues, including asbestos and long-term exposure and environmental claims.
