Picotte Leads Tax Group to Victory

Peter J. Picotte II has helmed Dilworth Paxson’s Tax practice Group in a major Commonwealth Court victory, sustaining Philadelphia wage tax refund claims filed on behalf of 45 former CoreStates Bank executives. Mr. Picotte took over the litigation from Morgan Lewis when the bank withdrew its participation following the reversal of claim-supporting case law by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Picotte's arguments have now been sustained by the Tax Review Board, the Court of Common Pleas and now a unanimous three-judge panel of the Commonwealth Court.
