Laigaie Discusses Cost-Effective Compliance Programs For Smaller Medical Practices At NHLA National Conference
Dilworth Paxson’s Corporate Investigations & White Collar Group Chairman, David M. Laigaie recently participated in the American Health Lawyers Association’s (AHLA) national seminar: Physicians and Physician Organizations Law Institute 2007 in Las Vegas. The AHLA is the nation's largest, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) educational organization devoted to legal issues in the healthcare field.
Mr. Laigaie collaborated with health care attorney Todd Rodriquez of Fox Rothschild in presenting Champagne on a Beer Budget: Strategies for Ensuring Compliance, Assessing Voluntary Disclosure and/or Carrier Repayments, and Conducting Internal Investigations without Spending a Fortune.
Mr. Laigaie and Mr. Rodriquez handled topics including how to develop cost-effective compliance programs, outsourcing compliance reporting, self-assessing voluntary disclosure versus carrier repayment, and conducting investigations that solve existing problems while avoiding new ones
In his fifteen years of practice, Mr. Laigaie, a Chestnut Hill resident, has obtained substantial experience in white collar defense, internal corporate investigations, health care fraud litigation, and complex civil litigation. He is a frequent lecturer and author of a variety of publications.
