Kagan, Graham R. Laub, John J. Higson, Jennifer L. Maleski, and Thomas Vecchio. Mr. Kagan, a Cherry Hill, NJ resident and partner in Dilworths Litigation Department, focuses his practice on resolving real estate, commercial and contractual disputes. He counsels clients on their pre-litigation posture, quarterbacks litigation once it is underway, and frequently tries cases in the Federal and State Courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution venues such as the American Arbitration Association. His clients include real estate developers and managers, financial institutions and advisors, title insurance companies, and several international insurance companies. Mr. Laub, a Philadelphia, PA resident and partner in the Firms Corporate Department and chair of its Securities Group, focuses his practice on representing buyers, sellers, and shareholders in all types of mergers and acquisitions (both public and private transactions); representing companies in financing transactions, particularly high yield debt and senior secured debt transactions; corporate governance matters for public companies and their officers and directors including Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance; representing issuers and security holders in public and private offerings of securities; and public reporting with the Securities and Exchange Commission and other securities laws compliance issues. Mr. Higson, a resident of Havertown, PA and partner in the Firms Litigation Department, engages in complex commercial litigation and business counseling. He has a broad background defending and prosecuting complex contract, government procurement, employment contract and business practices disputes. Mr. Higson also handles securities litigation, RICO, bankruptcy law and protecting trade secrets matters. Ms. Maleski, a Bryn Mawr, PA resident and associate in Dilworths Litigation Department and its Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group, represents a variety of creditors (both secured and unsecured) and bankruptcy debtors in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases. She has also served as counsel for the Trustee in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases. Ms. Maleski has also represented parties in various commercial litigation, including contract disputes and foreclosure actions. Mr. Vecchio, a Philadelphia, PA resident and associate in the Firms Litigation Department and its Coverage and Construction Groups concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation, First Amendment issues and insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Vecchio represents a wide variety of clients including insurance companies; law firms; corporate officers and directors; media outlets and publishers; financial institutions; and construction companies. He assists clients in all aspects of litigation including litigation prevention; negotiation; discovery; settlement; trial; and the appellate process. |
