Awards and Recognition
- Samuel T. Cooper has been named a 2009 Diversity Attorney of the Year by the Legal Intelligencer in part for his work with the Pennsylvania Bar Association on their annual Diversity Summit, as well as for his other successes.
- Larry G. McMichael, Gino J. Benedetti, Marjorie M. Obod and Joseph F. Kessler have been listed in the 2009 "Leaders in Law" directory distributed by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Their respective work in commercial litigation, labor and employment, and real estate was especially noted.

- Graham R. Laub has been named Chairman of the Securities Regulation Committee and Vice Chairman of the Mergers & Acquisitions Committee for the Philadelphia Bar Association.
- Mariana Rossman has been elected to the Board of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

- Lawrence G. McMichael was recently interviewed by both NPR and the Wall Street Journal to provide insight into the federal prison system, especially the Butner Federal Correctional Complex in North Carolina where Bernard Madoff will serve out his sentence.
- Michael J. Tierney was featured in a Widener Law article entitled "Siblings spouses parents and children have made Widener their home over generations." As one of three brothers who have all attended Widener Law School, the article quoted Tierney's experiences there and also provided brief biographies of each of the three brothers, as well as a photo of them together.
- Matthew Faranda-Diedrich and Jordan Rand authored an article entitled "We're Talking About Practice," published by the Legal Intelligencer. The article appeared in the June 8 edition of the paper.
- Matthew Faranda-Diedrich authored an article entitled "Corporate Contracts: A Penny Saved Is A Penny Earned." The article appeared in the June 8 corporate law edition of the New Jersey Law Journal.
- Lawrence G. McMichael was quoted in the June 6th article "Philadelphia Newspapers seeks own probe of recording," after requesting that the Philadelphia Newspapers L.L.C. hire its own special legal representation in an ongoing privacy investigation. The article was printed by the Philadelphia Inquirer.
- Eric B. Meyer was quoted in the social media guide Mashable's article "10 Must-Haves For Your Social Media Policy." The article is a part of the guide's June 2, 2009 edition.
- Gino J. Benedetti appeared on the CBS3 11 pm news network on May 29, 2009 to give his opinion on child labor laws as they relate to the cable TV show "Jon and Kate Plus 8."
- Christopher D. Ackerman was interviewed as an expert panelist on green building in the "Round Table" section of the New Jersey Journal's May 4, 2009 issue.
- Mark H. Vacha's article "On the Road with Jack, Freddie and Sallie? Considerations for a Government Sponsored Entity to Access Foreign Capital for State and Local Government Infrastructure Projects" was published in the April 2009 edition of the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers' newsletter, MiniNews.
- Lawrence G. McMichael was quoted in a Bloomsberg.com news article entitled "Two Judges on Madoff Case May Spur Assets Battle, Lawyer Says," which was posted on April 20, 2009.
- Jordan M. Rand's article on the workings of a jury as told from an insiders' perspective, entitled, "Juror, Like Me: Notes from the Trial of the Centauri" appeared on April 20 in the NJEsq.f
- Richard L. Fox was quoted numerous times regarding his representation of a donor to an international charity. The article was published in the March 25, 2009 issue of the Daily Tax Report, and entitled "Donor Advised Fund Lawsuit Challenges Spending Authority of Supported Organization." The case was further covered by the "Quatloos! Cyber Museum of Scams and Frauds" blog site in a March 22, 2009 posting, and has been discussed on numerous other websites.
- Mark A. Wachlin was quoted as an expert by the Coding Institute's article entitled "Tackle Your Compliance Questions with 2 FAQs - Would You Know How To Write An Annual Report to the OIG?". The article was published in the Part B Insider on February 23, 2009.

- Mark H. Vacha presented at the Council of Development Finance Agencies meeting in Pittsburgh from May 5 to 7, 2009. While there, he also participated on the moderate bond finance panel.
