Dilworth Paxson Welcomes Securities Lawyer Robert V. Cornish To Its Washington DC Office

Securities lawyer Robert V. Cornish, Jr. has joined Dilworth Paxson's Washington DC office as Of Counsel, announced Margaret M. Gatti, Managing Partner of the firm's Washington, D.C. Office.

"He brings a wealth of experience which includes serving as in-house counsel for several investment firms as well as working in private practice. Cornish conducts a global practice focused on fund formation, regulatory compliance and other investment related matters for investment managers, brokerage firms, pension funds and family offices. He also advises investment managers, broker/dealers, and commodities firms in enforcement matters, audits, and examinations by the SEC, FINRA, NFA and other securities regulators.

Cornish previously served as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer for Pacific Income Advisers and its broker/dealer and mutual fund affiliates. He also served as General Counsel for a prominent managed futures fund manager.

Cornish received his law degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in 1993 and his B.A. from Davidson College in 1989. He is admitted to practice law in Washington, D.C., Arkansas, Tennessee, Wyoming, the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Claims, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit.
