Anne M. Aaronson, a partner in Dilworth Paxson LLP's Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group, recently presented during the Strafford Legal Teleconference "Executory Contracts in Bankruptcy: Resolving the Legal Ambiguities."
During the 90-minute presentation the panel of bankruptcy and contracts attorneys explored the assumption and assignment of executory contracts and the treatment of special classes of executory contracts during bankruptcy proceedings.
Ms. Aaronson discussed the current state of the law and recent developments regarding the assumption and assignment of derivatives contracts, personal services contracts, intellectual property licenses and unexpired leases as well as the availability and effectiveness of the judicially created "ride through" doctrine.
Aaronson's practice focuses on bankruptcy and reorganization as well as out-of-court workouts. She also provides true sale and non-consolidation opinions to clients involved in certain financial transactions. Her experience includes representing creditors and creditor committees in healthcare, asbestos, energy, and construction bankruptcy cases. Aaronson has represented Chapter 11 debtors in the automotive, transportation, and telephone and computer technology industries.
