Dilworth Paxson's Eric B. Meyer Presents at "Freelance Camp"

PHILADELPHIA, February 19, 2009 - Eric B. Meyer, an associate in the Labor & Employment Group at Dilworth Paxson LLP, was recently a guest speaker at the "Freelance Camp" held in San Antonio, TX.

Meyer led the discussion on considerations for small start-up businesses when making their first hires and the retaining of independent contractors.

Freelance Camps are designed for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and independent business owners. Each session explores different approaches to running a successful freelance business and/or small service company.

Meyer dedicates his practice to litigating and providing counsel to employers throughout the mid-Atlantic region on labor and employment issues affecting the workplace, including collective bargaining, discrimination, employee handbook policies, enforcement of restrictive covenants, and trade secret protection. He frequently trains both management and their employees on workplace harassment issues. Among his other accomplishments, Meyer was recognized by the Legal Talk Network and Law.com in the field of electronic discovery. He often lectures on the topic of electronic discovery and records retention.
