Jacqueline Jackson-DeGarcia Joins Dilworth Paxson’s Labor and Employment Group

PHILADELPHIA, February 6, 2009 - Jacqueline Jackson-DeGarcia joined Dilworth Paxson LLP's Harrisburg office today as a partner in the firm's Labor & Employment Group and Tax Group, announced Joseph H. Jacovini, Chairman of the firm. Jackson-DeGarcia was previously at K&L Gates.

Jackson-DeGarcia focuses her practice on all aspects of labor and employment law. She advises public and private employers on leave issues, revisions of practices and policies, lawful hiring, and termination of employees.

Jacqueline also practices before administrative tribunals and state and federal courts in matters involving claims of discrimination, contract disputes and non-compete issues. She served as prosecutor in employee termination and disciplinary proceedings and as a traditional labor counsel for employers in contract negotiations, claims of unfair labor practices, and labor arbitrations.

In addition to her labor and employment practice, Jacqueline's experience includes state and local tax law. She has represented entities in litigation before Pennsylvania tax appellate boards, and taxpayers in commercial and industrial tax assessment appeals throughout Pennsylvania and PURTA litigation.
