Dilworth's Shectman And D'Amora Honored By The Homeless Advocacy Project

PHILADELPHIA, January 8, 2009 - The Homeless Advocacy Project recognized Dilworth Paxson LLP's Scott P. Shectman and Natalie D'Amora for their 2008 volunteer work. Shectman, an associate in the firm's Litigation Department and a member of its Bankruptcy Group, received the Legal Services Recognition Award for his successful representation of a disabled homeless woman seeking social security benefits for a permanent disability. D'Amora, an associate in Dilworth's Litigation Department, was recognized with the Adopt Coordinators Award. D'Amora was honored for her coordination of Dilworth's bi-monthly sponsorship and participation in the Mercy Clinic and for her successful representation of a disabled homeless woman in obtaining social security benefits for a permanent disability. Shectman concentrates his practice on commercial litigation with a focus on construction litigation and bankruptcy. His practice includes litigating in federal and state courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums, concerning various contractual, lending, and construction related disputes. D' Amora's practice includes litigation in state and federal courts relating to contractual, construction, and development disputes. She counsels clients on construction law issues including delay claims, termination disputes, interference claims, and surety issues. |
