Areas of Focus:

Associate, Litigation Department and Construction Group. Ms. D' Amora's practice includes litigation in state and federal courts relating to contractual, construction, and development disputes. 

Ms. D'Amora is well-seasoned in counseling clients on construction law issues including delay claims, termination disputes, interference claims, and surety issues. Her practice also includes advising clients regarding payment disputes and insurance claims. Ms. D'Amora has represented clients in a number of different dispute resolution forums including in mediation, arbitration, and litigation in state and federal courts.  

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Represented state development agency in defending a wrongful termination claim related to a proposed development on the Camden Waterfront.
  • Represented general contractor in litigation concerning the construction of Lincoln Financial Field.

  • Represented a development manager in a dispute with an owner and its insurer regarding failure to obtain contractually-required liability insurance.  Successfully obtained coverage for a claim and reimbursement for attorney's fees and costs.

  • Represented a surety on a construction performance bond in an action against a Pennsylvania public school district, in which the surety obtained a favorable seven figure recovery. 
  • Defended a surety on a construction performance bond in an action brought by a New Jersey public school district for a significantly delayed project.  Limited exposure of surety by coordinating a multi-defendant settlement of the delay claims.
  • Represented an insurance company in a dispute with a major financial institution regarding the refusal to honor a letter of credit.
