Mr. Schmehl concentrates his practice on corporate and individual tax planning matters, including mergers and acquisitions, partnership planning, executive compensation, tax insurance, examinations and tax litigation, criminal tax matters, tax-free exchanges, subchapter S corporations, and bankruptcies and insolvencies. He works with the Firm's Corporate Investigations and White Collar Group to defend criminal tax prosecutions.

Represented Milton Hershey Alumni Association 2003-2007 in quest for standing to challenge joint action of the Hershey Trust and Pennsylvania Attorney General.
